Bayteks Adds Second Line

Posted on July 11, 2006 @ 01:43 pm

Turkish nonwovens producer Bayteks, based in Gaziantep, started up a second spunbond line, based on proprietary technology, in May 2006. According to general manager Aykut Peltek, the new line is 2.5 meters wide and features unique technology which allows Bayteks to make many sized materials on the same line without any side rolls and without stopping the line. “Additionally line capacity, quality and system allow better cost of fabric if we compare it with our competitors because we know the spunbond business such as market demands and quality,  and we designed our line under these conditions,” Mr. Peltek added.

Baytek’s existing line, a 3.2-meter line, also based on proprietary technology, was started up at the end of 2003.
