Italian nonwoven product specialist Magic Srl was on hand today promoting a new product for medical end use applications. Under the brand name Four Stop, the innovative composite is designed for use in operating rooms as an absorbent, non-slip floor pad or as a tray liner beneath surgical instruments. The four-layer construction includes a three-dimensional perforated LDPE transparent material; a drylaid 100% viscose nonwoven weighing 28 gpsm; a 110 gpsm airlaid fabric and a high grip clear film.
The company also offers nonwoven adhesive tapes for surgical end uses under its Magifix brand, which are available in rolls or individual cases. Magic is also active in the area of laminates for wound pads, where it sells its Medipad line of products. Medipad features a non-adherent film and can be mounted to a variety of substrates from nonwovens to paper. Another multi-layered composite being offered by the company is Medilam, which includes five layers and is available in rolls up to 2000 mm wide and with a maximum diameter of 1200 mm. In the food packaging sector, Magic offers the Meatpad line, which is available in different colors and in a range of sizes.
